Frequently Asked Questions

During the 2-day event, you’ll find a variety of entertainment, food and fun.
 
The following guidelines will help get you prepared for fun at the event.

OPERATING HOURS: 
Fri, Dec 6; 5 pm to 9 pm
Sat, Dec 7; 10 am to 9 pm

RAIN: Christkindlmarkt will go on, rain or shine, and no rain dates are scheduled. 

ADMISSIONS: Admission is always FREE. 

PARKING: Parking is FREE, and is adjacent to the event grounds. A shuttle service may be available from local hotel, motel and resort facilities, as well as from some of the major attractions. 

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY: Grounds are handicap accessible. Handicap parking is available within walking distance of the event. 

SMOKING and VAPING: smoking and vaping are prohibited on the event grounds. 

PETS and SERVICE ANIMALS:  only trained service animals are allowed on the event grounds, due to the crowded and stimulating environment and potential health and safety risk to both the animal and or other event attendees. 

ATTIRE: Shirts and shoes are required attire for event patrons. Dirndls, lederhosen and silly hats are encouraged. 

ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT: each vendor is responsible for collectiong payments for their own products, whether it be merchandise, food, drinks or alcoholic beverages. Please note that most vendors will be accepting cash and credit/debit cards, however credit/debit card processing may be slow and/or unavailable at times due to the network usage. 

ATM MACHINE: there will not be an ATM machine onsite, please bring cash with you when you come. 

FOOD and DRINK: The backbone to any event! Food and drinks are sold throughout the grounds. Visitors are prohibited from bringing food and beverages onto the event grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, beer, wine and distilled spirits. All ready to eat food items, and drinks require tickets. Please note that Credit/Debit Cards are accepted for ticket purchases and on a limited basis with all other vendors.  

ALCOHOL SALES: all alcohol sales will be cash or card.

SEATING: Seating is provided in all entertainment areas. Patrons may not bring personal seating (such as bag chairs) onto the event grounds. 

FIRST AID: Emergency Medical Technicians are on duty on the event grounds at all times. The First Aid Station is located at the Information Booth located at the Vendor Village Entrance. 

LOST PEOPLE: A lost people post is located at the Information Booth. Event Volunteers and Members of the New Braunfels Heritage Foundation are on duty to provide assistance. 

LODGING: Event grounds are located within walking distance of Schlitterbahn Resort. 

PROHIBITED ITEMS: 
· Weapons of any kind (this includes knives). Please note that the 51% sign is posted, therefore Under Texas law you cannot carry a firearm onto the property. 

· Illegal or illicit substances, drugs or drug paraphernalia

· Flammable items or liquids including aerosols and fireworks (includes mace)

· Masks

· Outside food or beverage including alcohol

· Balls, frisbees or flying disks

· Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles

· Pets

· Laser pens, laser pointers or similar focused light devices

· Coolers

· Professional radios or walkie-talkies

· Slingshots

· Bicycles or skateboards

· Chairs or Stools, unless used for mobility purposes. 

· Instruments, megaphones, horns or noise makers
